Liberty Bell Arch, Lake Mead Recreation Area

At a random little pullout off the highway there’s the start of a trail to one of the best named arches in the country. The rocks all along the hike are a variety of fun shapes and colors, yellows, red, blacks, some blue/green from what I’m assuming are copper deposits. With that comes some abandoned mining equipment from the 1800s.

It’s a nice hike but on the way back there are a lot of braided trails, it’s hard to stay on the proper path. They all meet up again eventually but it’s a little confusing.

I mean look at this arch…could it look more like the liberty bell?
